The Artist:

Hi, that would be me, Jim Kasper. My Home studio is located in Jensen Beach Florida, a beautiful coastal community about 30 miles north of West Palm Beach. I've had my fingers in clay for about 30 years now. My fascination began with clay dug from a pond at my childhood home in Crete, Illinois.

Aside from a few classes I am mainly self taught. Of course, self taught means standing on the shoulders of the many dedicated potters who have gone before and graciously shared of their knowledge. Included in this list are David Engesath of Rare Earth Pottery of Stuart Florida, and the thousands of potters on the ACerS clayart mailing list.
