Lee Gorman Smith

[The Artist]

Lee Gorman Smith, a Massachusetts native, paints in Vero Beach, Florida and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Her experience includes commercial, editorial, advertising and book illustration. Her commissioned paintings and drawings of architectural subjects have been purchased by private and corporate customers. A Massachusetts State Art grant provided her an opportunity to render a large pen and ink drawing of the Wellesley, Massachusetts historic Town Hall. It hangs there permanently. Continually evolving her fine art painting style and philosophy, her current work depicts realistic scenes. Her large canvases (Roll-ups) of Florida landscape are painted in a bold and direct manner. Shadows and reflections, mood and light, are themes which appear in her current work. Her images are sold as fine art prints and greeting cards and appear in galleries and shops including the Cape Museum of Fine Arts, the Cape Cod Art Association, Aries East, Nautique, Port-O-Call, Sola Galleries, and the Vero Beach Art Museum. She is a member of The Artists Guild Gallery of Vero Beach, a juried member of the Cape Cod Art Association, and a signature member of the National Acrylic Painters Association.
